This is such a fun hike with options for a more difficult hike/climb. The trail itself is pretty well maintained but there are some great bouldering opportunities. The Wichita Wildlife Refuge really should be a national park. The ancient granite formations are gorgeous and something you wouldn't expect to be in the middle of the great plains.

Beautiful trail
one of the top outdoor sites in oklahoma. the hike to the charon's garden i would rate a 6-7 out of 10 difficulty level. if its your first time, take the trail to the rock rooms, you won't be disappointed.
Lots of opportunities for climbing around and going off path. Trail is sometimes unclear and you might go the wrong way a few times where it looks like the trail splits into a few different directions but you figure out pretty quickly that "oh this looks dangerous, there's no way this is it" and then you go back and go the other way. It's a fun bonding experience. Bring at least one person with a decent sense of direction just in case.
