Great place to visit. Perfect for Motorcycles. Busy on nice weekends. You can spend all day on all the well maintained roads and trails on the wildlife refuge and never see all of it.

I love this place. It is most beautiful during spring and fall. I used to take my kids all the time growing up. Now there grown. But I still love to go out and see the buffalos, long horns and other animals that may pop up out there. Love the hikes and trail walks

We absolutely loved it. We spent about 3 hours and visited only the visitor center, which was very nice, and up to mount Scott. We didn't have time to see the other side but not worried because we will defiantly be back. Loved seeing the bison, steer, and the prairie dogs❤

My friends and I have frequently returned to the same group campsite for a 2- to 3-day stay. A good hike through well-marked trails while exploring landscape formed by boulders is a must (you can arrange for a guide at the Visitor Center). And nothing beats a nice campfire (please be responsible and only use branches / twigs / wood found on the ground) and good conversations in the evening.

Animals are used to vehicles and people but they are NOT tame. The Buffalo And Longhorn Cattle will NOT stop for you so be prepared to stop for them. Great visitor center with vending machines and clean bathrooms.

Easy day trip from Oklahoma City or Wichita Falls, Tx

A gem in the middle of Oklahoma! Each of the lakes has some uniqueness to them and there are excellent hiking trails throughout the park’s prairie ecosystem. Bison, longhorns, and prairie dogs are quite common, but I still have yet to see an elk here. A drive up Mount Scott is worth it for the great views.
